The Bostocks

We used to tour extensively around the northern rivers area of New South Wales. Places we played were Grafton, Coffs Harbour, Yamba, Maclean and Sawtell. We didn’t really play much on the Gold Coast because there weren’t many venues who would take us on.

In 2007 we released our first album ‘In The Neighbourhood’, I had lead vocals on two of the tracks, as well as input to harmonies and drumming (of course). It was never released on iTunes, and all physical copies have been sold out (I think there were 2000 copies sold). If you ask nicely though, I maybe able to send some MP3’s your way. In 2009, ‘Not By A Long Shot’ was released, it was another full length album. I had sung on two of the tracks, as well as contributed to harmonies and played drums. We created a clip for the title track which received a decent amount of air time on Foxtel’s Country Music Channel aka CMC.

After this release, we were nominated for 2 Golden Guitars at the 2011 Tamworth Country Music Awards; for Best New Artist and Best Instrumental Track (Run & Hide). We didn’t win but got to walk the red carpet, which was a great experience. You can still purchase this album here: https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/not-by-a-long-shot/id376613463

In 2011, I stepped back from drumming full time to focus on studies. Our good friend, Troy Wright, took over some of the recording and covered the live gigs. ‘The Great Unknown’ was released late 2013, which can be bought on iTunes here: https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/the-great-unknown/id705119622.
